review 1: So I've been reading Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes books and I wasn't planning on writing/rating each story individually, but this particular story touched me. The story started out a very mysterious and despite of the fact that SH erred at his deductions about the wife, it still ended beautifully. I specially loved that part when the father carried the little girl and said, "I am not a very good man Efffie, but I think that I am a better one than you have given me credit for being."Now, that's a keeper. And lastly, the part that made me laugh was when SH told Watson to remind him of this incident at Norbury whenever he gets cocky! (God, I love it when classical authors throw in some humor.)

... moreيف الزوجة المخلصة التى تحوي حياتها سراً عن زواج سابق انتهى بمأساة قبل أن تغادر البلاد بلا رجعة,لكن الماضي لم يمت وعاد ليكدر صفو حياتها السعيدة..لم يستعمل هولمز هنا ذكائه الخارق وفشل في استنتاجه للأسف,كما أن الحبكة لم تكن مثيرة,لذا إجمالاً لم تكن القضية رائعة كالعادة ولم تعلق في ذاكرتي. less
