review 2: Amazing story! The introduction of Holmes's doppelgänger Moriarty was a stroke of genius of Conan Doyle's part. It's hard to find words to describe my feelings when you first learn of Holmes' demise. At first I was incredibly saddened by the loss, even though I knew it was coming. But on the other hand I found that the way that the detective met his end was probably the most elegant way for a character like that to die. Also Watson's deductions to what happened to Holmes was a nice touch and somehow seemed to ease the feeling of loss in some ways while making it hit that much harder in others. less
