review 1: Very few words and great illustrations tell us the story of a boy who notices an injured bird in a big city, and his parents who help him take it home and nurse it back to health. A beautiful story about compassion. I did speak with my kids about immediately getting an adult to help them if they find an injured animal. It's important to remember that care of wild animals is best left to the experts, or undertaken with professional guidance.
review 2: This book is about a little boy who finds a bird that has a broken wing. He's the only one who saw him and he's the only one who picked him up and took him home and helped his broken wing get better. The book has very little words, it's more so pictures and analyzing the story through them. The pictures are kind
... more of dull and aren't very vibrant. I feel like children might not like the story due to the lack of words in the story. A child may like the pictures, but get confused as to why you aren't reading. less
