review 1: Released in 2008, Joker was clearly created to accompany The Dark Knight. The Joker looks eerily similar to that of Heath Ledger, which leads most to assume this. The story really has nothing though. There aren't characters to lock on to, and there isn't really any meat story wise. However, the artwork is stunning, and the final few pages are some of the most vibrant I've ever seen. It's a beautiful book to read, but it's nowhere near as good as, say, The Killing Joke.
review 2: I know I'm gonna get BS for saying this but I've never owned a Batman or Joker comic or Graphic novel. I grew up with the batman animated series and I didn't knwo the comics were available in Belgium. In recent years I found out about the graphic novels and this is my first one. My boyf... moreriend bought it for me. :) I like this one. The Joker is my favorite villain. I have a few problems with this particular story, the main problem being the voiceless Harlzy Quinn. She's so much more. Also I find it hard to believe that Batman would let the Joker and Two-faced run wild lile that in Gotham for so long. I really liked the artstyle. Love Joker with a Chelsea grinn. The Heath Ledger design didn't bother me. The art style in general fit the story really well. Can't wait to read other graphic novels. less
