review 1: For all that this displays the flaws running through Bendis' X-Men run, it also manages to make him look good. Because in the back is a special celebrating 50 years of the mutant team, containing new stories by some of the writers who've defined them - Stan Lee, Chris Claremon, Fabian Nicieza. And while Bendis may be overly talky and a little erratic when it comes to plot logic, these legendary/notorious figures all turn in work that's merely piss-poor.
review 2: An interesting mixture of current and old and retelling of old stories. Yet another attempt to try to figure out who Kitty Pryde is - still not quite there either in the art or the writings - but there's a little bit with her and Ilyana and even Kitty and X-23 that rings true. It's almost always good t... moreo have Laura Kinney aka X-23 show up in a story and this was weird but pretty good. It also gave the writers to show Kitty as compared to her. less
