review 1: Dropping back in on Miles after the very enjoyable first collection, things continue well though I really didn't like Chris Samnee's opening art. Still, the story moves in an unexpected way, we have a new Scorpion and a highly entertaining encounter with the Ringer. Still, the collection just ends and it really should be partnered up with the next few issues as it's an ongoing story. I really wish they kept releasing the oversize hardcover collections they started with. Still, worth reading.
review 2: The problems I have with this book are mainly due to the Ultimate universe, in that I just don't care anymore. Ultimate Spider-Man was the only book I was reading from that imprint after all these years, and now it's not the same book it was. Maybe if this boo
... morek was set in the regular Marvel universe, I'd feel like their was some stake in the matter. The other problem I have is that if you're going to have someone else be Spider-Man, he shouldn't sound exactly like Peter Parker when the mask goes on. less

I still like this series quite a bit. This volume just didn't do much new - mostly setup.

Great series - this one really was a prequel to vol.3 in my opinion. Still fun though.
