review 1: Ugghhh why am I still reading these books? I'm sick of Clary, I find her really annoying. I'm REALLY sick of hearing about Jace's muscles and golden hair and stupid eyes and what he's wearing and his hip bones and blah blah. I was thinking about it and I don't actually really like any of the characters. Clary - whiny and annoying. Simon - boring. Jace - ok but doesn't do much of anything these days. Alec - boring. Isabelle - could be interesting, but nope, boring. Sebastian - most interesting character but we don't get to hang around with him much. Magnus - should be cool but mostly just glittery. Camille - could have been awesome but nope not anymore. Who am I forgetting? They're all so forgettable. This series of 6 books should be condensed into 3. Remove all the descrip... moretions about hair and eyes and muscles and clothing and stupid teenage angst and oo does he like me do I like him and maybe you'd have a really good story here. I get annoyed because every book just drags, but the author always pulls off a good ending which gets me interested again and makes me want to keep reading. Bah. I'm on the last one one, I'm definitely calling it quits there and not going on to the Infernal series.
review 2: This took me wayyyy too long to read. Like I finished City of Glass in less than a week, and it's twice the size of this book, but this book took me like 2 weeks to read! This is my least favorite from the series so far. Don't get me wrong, this book was really good, just not as good as the rest.Please tell me I'm not the only one who feels that none of this would've happened, if Clary and Jace told the Clave that Angel Raziel brought Jace back in the first place?Nonetheless, this book was great...the main problem I had with it though, was that the characters were just so annoying in this one!Like Clary and Jace in particular. I just wanted to knock some sense into them.The ending was such a cliff-hanger omg.Off to read Clockwork Prince! less
