review 1: I liked the story at first, but I kept reading I got bored. It was still a good read though. I found myself looking to see when the chapter or section would end so I could take a break and clear my head because I was constantly thinking about other things and had to reread quite a lot of paragraphs and sometimes even pages. I didn't love this book, but I didn't hate it and I'm willing to read another book by Celia Rees.
review 2: This book brought a new perspective to Shakespeare and brought a twist to his widely known drama, The Twelfth Night. At many times I became confused as to the significance of some of the characters. In addition I felt
... morethe ending was rushed and everything was left smooth, which makes the story feel more fiction and not so much historical fiction. This book, however, brought a new perspective onto the life of William Shakespeare. less
