Sea Haven/Sisters of the Heart
review 1: Air Bound is the third book in the Sisters of the Heart series from Christine Feehan. Sisters of the Heart and the Drake Sisters are the two series that make up the Sea Haven Collection. It isn’t necessary to read the previous books or the Drake Sisters series to enjoy Air Bound, but I do suggest that you read them for a more complete understanding of the universe in which these stories take place. The protagonists in Air Bound are Airiana Ridell and Maxim Prakenskii. We learn in the first chapter that Airiana is incredibly smart and spent some time in a think tank type of school when she was young. She went home after a week at the school and found her mother dead. She was told it was because her mother was attempting to sell secrets to a foreign government. Back in pre... moresent day Airiana is having nightmares of the day her mother died and she fears she is starting to lose her mind because she sees patterns in everything. After talking with her sisters she goes out to one of the green houses to help one of them. She notices there is something wrong and they start to go back to her house, as they are going back her and her sister notice a couple of men. After hiding and some running Maxim grabs her and takes her onto a helicopter. He says he isnt really taking her to the guy that wanted to kidnap her, that he is really taking her to her father who is a very brilliant scientist in Russia. We have previously heard about this scientist in the other books. I have to say I did quite enjoy Air Bound’s story and I do love how the author has tied certain story lines together from the Drake Sister series to this series, which is why I recommend reading previous books and the Drake Sister series. I think my favorite character in this book was Lexi and I believe her book is going to be fantastic. Though we have quite a wait as her book won’t be available until June of 2015. I did really love the ending to this book, it made you feel very happy for the characters. Air Bound leaves the reader excited for the next book, knowing all the Drake sisters are coming home. I would suggest this book to anyone that enjoys romance or paranormal romance.
review 2: I love Christina Feehan's books. I love her writing style and I love her characters. But this one had a couple of things that bothered me enough to keep one star off the rating. First, the repetitiveness. I've noticed this a lot in mass market books of various books and am wondering if they just need to reach a word count, so they repeat over and over again the hero's motivations and flaws, the heroine's insecurities and confusion. Over and over until it's pounded into my brain as if I'm not smart enough to catch it the first time. It really bothered me in this one for some reason, maybe because the same things were said in nearly every chapter. Second, I picture everything going on when I read, including the sex scenes. These seemed anatomically impossible. If she's standing against him and short enough for his erection to rest between her breasts, then how can he make love to her and kiss her without bending in half? Despite those two very distracting flaws, I'm still rating this book 4 stars because everything else about it was great and I LOVE the Prakenskii brothers. In fact, I really want one of my own. less

Thought it dragged on a bit much on the ordeal Airiana was going through.
