review 1: Enjoyable read. Although it wasn't hard to figure out the mysteries involved, the writer developed the plot with enough characterization and details to make it interesting. When Riley goes to clean out her father's house after his sudden death, she finds out that her sister who supposedly committed suicide out of sadness actually shot her music teacher to death. Then she discovers some evidence that maybe that sister is alive. Things get sticky when she begins searching for this long lost sister and her brother declares if Riley finds the missing sister, he will turn her in for the murder.
review 2: The premise of the story is a somewhat old one. Girl returns home after a parent's death and discovers that her sister's tragic death may not be all that it see
... morems. However, Chamberlain uncurls my threads as she lays out the basic framework. Each short chapter had a bit of a hook at the end that made my curious to uncover what lay ahead. Further details on my part would only spoil the adventure, but this book whizzed by even though I had guessed at some of the outcomes. I truly enjoyed it and look forward to more of her work. less
