review 1: Interesting to read, due to lots of reviews and hype. Very non specific country, difficult to identify from the translation it was an Italian writer the story set in Italy. Therefore a genetic crime story based anywhere. Some might call it sterile considering the story line involving child abduction, mutilation, self harming and paedophilia - but all done without sensationalism. A very sensitive subject matter that was handled well; lots of twists and turns and surprises. Lets see if his second book is as interesting.
