review 1: Not my favorite of the series but still a good read. I have started reading book3 and the last in the series and I can already tell that I'm going to be surprised with the end, in a good way, the way things are unfolding. Love EC and she rocks in my book. Love her writing and I have fallen in love with the characters she's created especially Tim. He's a hoot. Everybody needs a Tim in their life.
review 2: Jayne is honestly the most childish protagonist ever. She acts according to her first impression of something and always charges into situations she could have avoided. Casey isn't a horrible writer, but jayne's voice gets annoying after a while. Casey focuses so much on making the dialogue entertaining that she fails to develop the characters', causing t... morehem to remain as flat characters. The only decent round character is Ben, and we don't even see him in many scenes other than when Jayne gets pissed off at him. I really hope Casey will improve in the next book because she did such a spectacular job on building this world that I don't want to just see it go to waste. less
