review 1: I thought it was an entertaining and enjoyable start to a series. This is a middle school adventure series called W.A.R.P., and it follows the adventures of two young people and the assassin, who chases after them for a large portion of the book. My main reason I enjoyed this book was no romance! I believe it is a middle school book, but still, I am glad there was no real romance in it (sure, a few joking references, but that's it).
review 2: When I first picked up this book, it instantly got me interested in it. Colfer knows how to write a great fictional book that hooks you in instantly. I suddenly found myself thinking about the book every night and remembering what I read because of how interesting it was. This book is very suspenseful and exciting even in t
... morehe beginning where Colfer introduces an assassin in training. He makes it obvious how this is the reluctant assassin as said in the title but does not give away what is going to happen next but leaving just a few clues to what will happen. This causes me to have to guess and get excited for what happens next. Colfer's book will sometimes give you o much suspense and have you never put it down sometimes. Although there were a lot of time paradoxes that I thought of, it was a great book and I would definitely read it again. The book is relevant to my life because I love fictional books because it brings me to a whole new world where I can forget about boring reality. Fictional books gives me an escape from real life and also I am able to relate to fictional books sometimes because the characters sometimes have a similar problem to me. I can relate to the reluctant assassin because I am always reluctant to do something even if it seems easy. This book makes me understand why I feel that sometimes and why it's sometimes good to be reluctant. After reading this book, I'm still thinking about how the story would be different if there were time paradox like the grandfather paradox. If those paradoxes were real, the story might have not even happened and there could be entirely different events and other people. This make me think about the book even more because I love paradoxes because it makes me think a lot and I get to think of different situations that could happen. less
