review 1: Po sérii kníh s Artemisom je trocha sklamaním, že autor dosť nejasne vymedzuje kategóriu, pre ktorú je kniha určená. Scény vrážd a útokov sú skvelo vykreslené avšak nie vhodné pre teen kategóriu, i keď to môže byť aj môj predsudok a morálne zábrany. Londýnske prostredie je asi najvhodnejšou voľbou po Paríži, pre ktoré sa autor mohol rozhodnúť. Dej plynie rýchlo, človek sa nestráca a nenamáha sa množstvom postáv, ich počet je ideálny a autorovi tak ostalo dosť miesta na ich priblíženie. Hlavné postavy sú predsa len trocha exotické ale tiež celkom vhodne kontrastujú s prostredím. Celkový dojem dobrý, prečítam si aj pokračovanie možno sa v ňom vyhneme krviprelievaniu.
review 2: I listened to 2 out of 8 CD's ... more& I just couldn't get into this. I really tried but after the first half of the first CD, I completely zoned out time & time again & couldn't keep track of what was going on. I know there's time travel & magic & assassins & a kid who just accepts that this is his calling even though he's clearly not into it, but that's about all. I think this might be a good read for a super-smart tween boy looking for a good adventure, but for me, there was just too much going on & I wasn't in the right head space to appreciate it. DNF less
