review 1: Levi.Erwin. The two most epic characters in SnK getting a backstory series? I was disappointed by the other spinoff title, so I was worried this one would suck. Not only does this not suck, it held my attention and I whipped through it at lightning speed. The artwork is very good, and I know from experience not to get attached to any other person in this manga. The heart can only take so much. Can't wait to read more...
review 2: Loved how this book explored Levi's character and gave him more character development than was seen in Attack on Titan. This manga definitely gave some insight and made things click as to why Levi is the way he is today. It was a bit slow but a nice pace for the first book in a spin-off series. I enjoyed exploring the life of those who... more live underground and seeing new aspects to this world. The artwork was a little busy looking in the action scenes, but overall it was gorgeous. Can't wait for the second volume to be released! less
