review 1: Since I've read The Blood Gospel, I was a bit miffed at the way this short left me hanging, wishing for more. Even though it precedes The Blood Gospel, it didn't offer anything that added to the first book. I'm not sure what the point of this story was - other than to introduce Jordan. It was really interesting, but nothing happened. Was the little girl supposed to point to the little girl in The Blood Gospel? Because they don't seem related in any way other than gender. ... moretars. There wasn't much unique about it and the action was lacking from what I am used to from Rollins. I liked the Blood Gospel much better, as it was a more complete story. This was more like a chapter from a longer novel. I read it in less than two hours, so it was a quick read, but still was lacking in something to make this more into something you can really get into entirely. less
