review 1: Enjoyed this police procedural set in London(there are maybe one or two coincidences too many, but ...) It's unusual in that the main character is a (female) constable rather than a higher ranking officer, which gives a different aspect to the problems-at-work theme. Some interesting side comments on Irishness (the children brought up by Irish parents in London not to speak the language wish they could, while the Irish cousins in Ireland who can are keen to shake it off - very familiar!) Very intense...very good. Maeve helps solve a horrible crime within a crime.
