review 1: Although Bonnie is by far not my favourite character in this series, I did enjoy this one about her trip to Hawaii, to help her college friend set up a quilt camp in her newly acquired B&B. Bonnie has quite the holier than thou approach to almost everything, which does almost cost her her friendship with Claire. I suppose her insecurities are quite credible, and her prickliness with her Elm Creek Quilt friends is understandable in that light. It's nice to see her begin to have faith in others and herself.
review 2: This book is my favorite of the Elm Creek Quilt series. Jennifer Chiaverini has done a wonderful job of writing a realistic storyline of a woman's recovery and comeback after a devastating and messy end to a long marriage. While I am not a complete f
... morean of Bonnie the protagonist (she seems a little obtuse and slow at times), the storyline is wonderful, and the setting of Maui, Hawaii, is just fantastic. Chiaverini has done her homework well, and the finely woven tale of love, loss, quilting, and Hawaiian life all mesh together quite well for a light and enjoyable read any time of the year. less

I enjoyed the descriptions of Hawaiian quilts but the story was predictable and whiny.
