review 1: I'll be honest, a picture book biography of Peter Roget wouldn't have caught my eye if not for the review in Kirkus. It's a short but highly enjoyable read with absolutely stunning illustrations and creative page layouts. I love the incorporation of archival documents in the illustrations. It's the type of thing I hope could inspire kids to go digging around in history themselves someday, and just complements the text perfectly.
review 2: So interesting (alluring, fascinating, and thought-provoking)! ... moree the word they were looking for, because he wanted his book to be used by everyone. But it was not in alphabetical order. And the illustrations are also fantastic. less

A delightful book about Roget's lists, which eventually became his thesaurus. Loved the Latin pages!
