review 1: I absolutely loved this book! The beginning in my opinion started off slow and didn't interest me that much. I thought it would just be a story about a girl creating a new life after surviving a tragedy but it is so much more! Now that I look back and think, I've realized the hints and foreshadowing throughout the beginning of the book about Seraphina's past and most importantly Lyzender. All the foreshadowing about him just emphasizes the truth of how strong their love is. Their love is out of our time (; But lastly, the ending was an amazing cliffhanger that leaves many possibilities and I went nuts with so many mixed emotions. I'd recommend this book to basically anyone who likes to read (:
review 2: *2.5 stars* I would give the beginning of the book four s
... moretars, up until...... the romance. Bleh. Then everything slowed down because we had to waste time talking about how hard it is for the characters to breathe when they're around each other, how the color of their eyes change with different emotions and at certain times of day, the adorable crooked smiles, yada yada yada. When a book starts out with really well paced action and mystery I want it to keep that pace, and the romance kind of ruins it for me. I found the villain to be long winded and annoying rather than intimidating and scary and for as smart as Seraphina is supposed to be it took WAAAAAY to long for her to figure things out at the end. less

Really enjoyed it. Fast passed and original. Loved the start, and the end actually made sense.

I liked it at the start, but then it went all sci-fi on me, and I was less interested.
