review 1: The characters were real and it was very well done. I want to make a special note of something in the book - the domestic violence. The writer got it so right. Women do not date guys who appear to be batterers. These guys pretend to be nice until they get you in a vulnerable position. When they start beating, the result is too often death. Another aspect of DV is that leaving or getting a restraining order is often the first step towards dying. Most DV victims who are killed die after getting the restraining order or after leaving. There are no protections and the victims who don't have family wind up in very bad shape if they try to get out. We need more books that touch on this issue as accurately as this book did.As for the book as a whole, it was great. The lo... moreve story between Sabine and Ethan was really well done. Though I anticipated what happened in both worlds in that plot, it was a really beatiful story and worth reading. It's one of the best love stories I've read.I recommend this book to everyone and would like to see it made part of high school required reading.
review 2: Sabine has two lives. At midnight she leaves one and repeats the day in the other. In one life Sabine has everything, perfect looks, good grades, successful family, and the boyfriend everyone wants. In the other, she's a rebel, with a financially strapped family but a loving younger sister. Its in this life that she meets Ethan. He is the first that she tells about her two lives and he challenges her to prove it. When she does, Ethan encourages her to explore both lives fully. less

I was really enjoying it until everything started revolving around The Romance. Review to come.

A strange combo of shallowness + depth, but rapidly readable + recommendable.

It was okay. Nice plot, but could've been better.
