review 1: I really enjoyed this story...SCORCHING HOT. Clay was awesome; unlike some romance book MMA fighters, he had depth and a very cute vulnerable side to him. He doesn't like the spotlight of being a professional fighter and hates public apperances and reporters. He just loves the sport and happens to be really good at it. Melody is struggling to get back on her feet after a messy divorce leaves her penniless and homeless. She's working herself ragged but still makes an effort to reach out to another lonely soul (with a piece of pie). Their courtship is sweet with an undertone of volcanic lava waiting to erupt. Very strong start to Battered Hearts series.
review 2: This was a very plesant read! Melody was running and hiding away from her abusing ex husband. She fou... morend work in this town that just breeds men big and strong but I like that she wasn't afraid of that and them because of her past. Instead she made friends with these guys. Her attraction to Clay was hectic and instead of hiding from it beacuse he's a big badass MMA champion fighter, she explores it. The story between the two of them was sweet and romantic. I really liked this story. less
