review 1: This series just gets better and better! I was blown away by the first volume but this one took it to the max. The art is consistently crisp and engaging, continuing to play with the construct of the comic. The story continues on from the first volume but pulls in some new characters (for me a mix of familiar faces and some new ones). I have just read this through in one sitting because I couldn't put it down. I feel so emotionally attached to all the characters, especially Billy and Teddy and I am not OK with Loki right now! I really don't know who to trust any more. Luckily this book has a wicked sense of humor to take the edge off the emotional turmoil. From Loki's instagram pictures to Noh-varr's music taste. Plus there is some kick ass action (quite literally in the c... morease of Ms America).Now I NEED who ever had checked out volume 3 to return it to the library! I need that book!
review 2: I loved this volume as much as I loved the first. The art is still phenomenal, the writing is brilliant. The characterization is still some of the best I’ve seen in comics. I love the addition of Prodigy and Speed and, while the vastness of the multiverse isn’t quite communicated, the characters across the board come through loud and clear (which is what really matters). I also greatly appreciated that Gillen managed to work in issues about relationships amongst the team without it becoming overbearing. If you liked the first volume, the second is a must read. less
