review 1: Cam McKay is sticking to police work instead of farm work now that he is healed up from his war injury. However, his disability is still causing him problems, the emotional kind. Domini Katzinski is is tired of waiting for Cam to make the first move. She sees beyond his attitude and wants the dominating man to take charge. Even though they decide to try out a physical relationship things take a change when tragedy strikes. Now both of them must learn how to survive the new challenge they have been given. Will they find love in the face of tragedy, or will they end up destroying themselves and those around them.This book was a tough one for me to get through. I am not normally a fan where children are involved or there is some sort of disability, especially due to a militar... morey situation. However, I did enjoy this book for the most part. Of course I love the McKay's and how their stories seem to all be intertwined. There was definitely some steamy scenes with some dominance thrown in. While there was some great humor in the book, there was also some pretty sad parts as well.Overall it was a good book and I would recommend it to others. This book had some more feels in it than other books in the series but it just adds to depth of the characters and their stories. I would keep this one around and I may read it again, but I'm not sure.
review 2: 4.5 stars. Damn Cam is one sexy dominant male even with one leg! I like how, as in the last book, the family dynamics changed... I forget many times that Cam is one of the younger ones in the family even through all he's been through. I loved how they dealt with REAL people stuff.. like her being an immigrant and them having to take in Anton. The only thing I hate is trying to figure out the timeline for each story.. how many babies each couple has now and such.. since I'm reading them so close together I forget that lots of time has passed since the previous books. less
