review 1: I had picked up vol. 3 in this series at a sale on Free Comic Book day, and decided I needed to read the whole series. So, inter-library loan to the rescue (although vols. 1, 4, & 5 came right away, but no #2 yet). Anywho, The Five Nightmares is an excellent story involving a very long term revenge scheme by Obidiah Stane's son, Ezekiel using black market Stark tech to cause worldwide terrorist attacks and bring down Stark's company forever. I loved seeing Tony as the Director of SHIELD, and the Maria Hill / Pepper Potts interplay.
review 2: This is the textual version of potential - the plot structure was on point, Tony Stark had settled down (a little bit) after becoming the director of S.H.I.E.L.D., and the Five Nightmares gimmick almost worked had the Five
... moreNightmares been distinctively telling of Stark's post-Civil-War troubles. Instead, the five nightmares are reflections of the one idea of the Iron Man suit being mass-produced and distributed to the wrong people (well, maybe the first nightmare can be excused). And then, the comic fell apart.Okay, the writers didn't exactly let it fall into the paper shredder, forgot about it for a couple of weeks, and then retaped it without seeing if the words aligned. I think there was some preparation and execution and all that great jazz that had garnered some respect for it, but I lost interest after the villain turned out to be a kid who wanted to avenge his father's death. Also, the anatomical structures had bothered me so much that it had become detrimental to the comic since fingers were not angled as they should have been. less

Read through the kindle app. Is it not as nice or stable as the Comixology app.

I finally understand what people mean when they say Tony is a futurist.

Ezekiel Stane doesn't really seem like a good long term villian.
