review 1: BOOK REVIEW by Michelle 16th February 2013 : RATING : 4.5 Lily & Kane Sitting In A Tree K.I.S.S.I.N.G stars!I think everybody is going to say they loved Lily’s story more than Temptation’s Heat. Lily and Kane are just adorable. I really dig Lily. I get her. There is a reason why she is such a homebody, a caring nurturing type character. I love how she has a spicy side to her. She is this quiet reserved sweetie pie and then..... Go Tiger!! She couldn’t take her eyes off his big hands as they lifted the spoon tohis mouth. Couldn’t stop imagining the feel of his palms on her skin, his fingers entwined in her hair. When he took a drink of water, she wanted to lick the moisture from his lips, plunge her tongue into the cool depths of his mouth. Big muscled Kane is a bea... moreutiful character, shy and unsure of himself around Lily, but a confident fighter in his world. Ivan, I think he may be a misunderstood character at first glance.Ivan nodded. “It’s pretty simple; Lily deserves to be happy. If you hurt her, I’ll kick your ass.” And did you have this same little chat with Rowen Black when he started dating Scarlet?” Ivan laughed. “I didn’t have to. Scarlet would kick Rowen’s ass herself if the situation called for it.” Kane grinned. Maybe Ivan wasn’t such a dick after all. This is again a small novella, smaller than Temptation’s Heat , but I got a smexi romance out of it. I have read two novella’s in this series now and this one took me nowhere but a stake out in regards to the Shadowguard and Blackguard, good vs evil in the human world. It was predominantly Lily and Kane’s romance. I did feel like this book kind of cut off at the end. I would have liked possibly tacked onto the end a bit of action, or some movement with the forces of good and evil. Mikhail came to his demise, I would have thought there could have been something there. It seems at this stage everything is rather peaceful from the demonic side, and hell smexi from the boys. They are getting their kit off and lovin’ their women. I have really enjoyed both the novella’s and can’t help being grabby grabby for a longer story. I feel like I am speed dating with these couples, yet it works .JMichelle
review 2: I loved Temptation's Kiss so much more so than Temptation's Heat. Michelle Zink has really out done her self with this series. I am truly honored to have been asked to review The Shadowguard Series. It is exceptionally captivating, however, my one complaint with Temptation's Heat still stands with Temptation's Kiss, the book was not long enough!!! I wanted to read so much more!! Although I do feel that this time we did get more of a peak into the life of a Shadowguard, unlike the first book.Temptation's Kiss was about Ambrose's youngest daughter, Lilly. Lilly isn't one of the warriors, she has chosen not to be one of the Shadowguard, she doesn't like all the violence and fighting. She is content being staying home and taking care of everyone in the Shadowguard, she loves to cook and bake for them all.Kane is one of the warriors of the Shadowguard and he's got it bad for Lily. He loves the way she smells, but she's so delicate in his eyes and feels that she deserves so much more than he can offer her. What he doesn't realize is that he is just what Lily wants and needs. However, she has a couple secrets of her own that she is just not ready to share with any man and doesn't feel that she can give any one a real relationship so she goes at it day by day taking care of everyone else.The fire, passion and heat is just too much for these two to keep away from each other for too long, I highly recommend this series for everyone over the age of 18. I must warn that there is sexual content in this story. less
