review 1: I really want to like these books. Not going to kid myself, of course I'll read the third in the series, but so far the story just isn't doing it for me - I'm still waiting for the moment when Sally is more likeable, less clueless, and for everything to stop being so repetitive. I think the series might have been better if told from a different view point; there are some characters that seem interesting but we don't get to explore them because we're stuck with Sally.
review 2: I love Mira Grant/Seanan McGuire and this book is no exception. Even though medical horror isn't my usual thing, this series has really grabbed me. There's a lot of the same themes explored here as in the Feed books, her zombie series... cures being worse than the disease, and all that. I... moret's a great read that will creep you out, but leaves you with something to think about at the same time. Can't wait for #3! less
