Pomelo is a small “garden elephant” who revels in twelve colors using an impressive vocabulary and fresh, new descriptions for color. The book is quirky and imaginative and will appeal to a wide age range of readers who can appreciate it on a variety of levels. The book glides from color to color without separation, which may be confusing for young readers, but the book is full of funny and whimsical pictures and characters.
