review 1: I really loved the first book 'Knife' as I fell in love with the whole story. At the time, I said I would have loved more, but the ending was brilliant. This is where Arrow comes into it, I bought it thinking it was book 2 (oops) but I got the idea of what happened etc. To be honest, I liked the book but I was not a fan of the story and its whole plot line. I think it would have been better off ending the series on the first book knife, but that is just my opinion.
review 2: Arrow, by R J Anderson, is the sequel to Knife and Rebel and is about how the faeries free themselves from the Empress. The main character is now Rhosmari, one of the Children of Rhys. She is quite timid, shies away from violence and is probably my favourite main character in this series. Sh
... moree also has a crush on Timothy, though of course she refuses to acknowledge the attraction she feels. All the characters from the previous books are reintroduced, there are many twists and turns and scenes that will take your breath away. The thing I loved most about the book is that the love between Timothy and Rhosmari was very different, new and written very believably. I especially loved the part about true names. The Empress is definitely one of my favourites. That may sound strange, but I believe that she has many different layers to her that were yet to be revealed. I loved that she simply a villain doing evil with the reason because she was evil but that she did the things she did because of real, concrete reasons such as love and revenge and also the belief that she was doing good.To sum it all up. I have to say this was a great read I could find no fault with, and probably the best of the three books.Final Rating: 5 stars less
