review 1: So good! Thats all I can say :O that it was good! But I loved how it was a bit creepy without the story intending to make it a bit creepy. The creepy part was the clay scene- I bet if it was put into a movie people would be hiding behind the sofa. Imagine it- some crazy fairy causing people to freeze into gnome statues to be put in shops. Its really quite twisted in a cool way. The writing style was nice and simple and I really enjoyed it! I can't wait till the next book. Oh, and the cover art drew me in to be honest- I was delighted to find the actual book was as awesome as the cover ^_^.
review 2: I am really enjoying the world of faeries and their ilk that R.J Anderson has created. And "Swift" is no exception. Leaving the fairies behind, for now, we delve i
... morento the world of the Piskies, a race with many similarities to their fairy kin, but many differences too. Ivy is a teenage pisky, born without wings, who has adapted to life in a world where males cannot fly, but all the other female can. Despite her physical limitations, and perceived weakness, Ivy is a strong character - who is perhaps a little foolhardy at times. And when she befriends a captive Spriggan, her life is turned on its head.Having read the "Rebels" series, it was good to see this story tie in with that one, but also refreshing to have a new slate of characters. The plot moved at a steady pace, with plenty of twists and turns in the narrative to keep the reader on their (metaphorical) toes. I particularly liked the character of Richard, and hope to see more of him in future stories. Already, I am eager to see where this tale shall lead and sad that I must wait to discover it. less

Disappointed that Ivy never wears the armour that's mentioned on the second page, despite the cover!

did not enjoy as much as the first three books, maybe cause it was about piskeys and not fairies!!
