review 1: Great reading.Sister is written from Beatrice to her younger sister, Tess, in the form of a letter. Beatrice flew back from her successful but safe life in New York when her mother phones to say that her sister is missing. After the devastating discovery of Tess's body Bea sets out to find out what happened to her.Not only is this book an engrossing thriller but a book of loss and grief.
review 2: I read this book a second time for bookclub. I loved it the first time, and dreaded reading it a second because it wouldn't be as good. Well, I still love this book. I had forgotten a few things here and there and was happy to discover them again. I like how the book is written jumping from memories to the present time interview with the lawyer preparing to prosecute
... more the sister's murder. It's a suspenseful, well written book with no FBI agents, bullets, bombs or gore. less
