review 1: How I enjoy Sarah Sundin's books! This is the third in a series, I didn't read books one and two, but I was still able to enjoy this book. The story has mention of some of the characters from the other two books,but it takes nothing away from this story's hero and heroine. The story centers on Kay, who was raised in a very strict religious household taught that she is a sinner who God does not care for, so she in turn runs away, becomes an army flight nurse, and lives her own way. Dating several men at once she feels in control of her life until she meets the one man who does not wish to date her, pilot Roger Cooper. He is her exact opposite. Seeks God, while she chooses to run from Him. His rejection intrigues Kay, who begins to question Rogers faith, and he reluctantly a... morenswers her questions. This begins a strange friendship that helps both deal with guilt and lies in their past, revealing Gods healing love. Love this story!
review 2: This is one of those books that I had a really slow start with. I started this book, put it down and started it again. I had a hard time getting into the book, but eventually when I did I really enjoyed the book. I had a little bit of a hard time following the character Kay, but once I paid a little more attention as I was reading I got to understand her a little more. I think I actually enjoyed the other main character, Roger Cooper, a bit more. They both had lots of depth in their character, but I seemed to understand and connect with him a bit more. I would say I enjoyed the last 1/2 of this book the most. It seemed that the action and the depth of the characters reached me much more in this part of the book. less
