review 1: As always with this series I found that I just couldn't put it down. It continues to develop well and McGuire explains right away that everything that has happened previously was building up to this book.She doesn't disappoint!This is filled with plenty of moments of "Why didn't I see that coming? How did I miss that? The clues were all there!" which is why I'm also classifying this as a mystery novel.Read my previous reviews of her books in this series and you'll understand why I will always recommend her to anyone who enjoys fantasy or just something a little different. I think McGuire has created a complex and well thought out world that always has something more to offer and keeps me wanting more at the end of every novel.
review 2: Stayed up all night... more to finish it. Lots of stuff to love and lots of surprises. Like the way the book circled around back towards the events of the first book and the mentions of all the things that happened in the various others leading up to this one. And my favorite line in the entire book comes from Tybalt. :) I also love the caver art. It is so very true of October! I was pleased to find out from the author that it is possible to get a print of this cover. less
