review 1: 3.5 starsBest book in the series so far. I'm not sure if Toby is becoming less irritating or if I'm simply becoming immune to her idiot-tendencies. Also, this book featured many of my favorite characters: Luidaeg, Quentin, Lily, Tybalt, and Spike- not to mention the creation of a new one named May. Finally, all the additional background information on Luna and her family were quite interesting.
review 2: This one gets a bit dark in the middle, even by the standards of the October Daye series, and I paused for a little while in my reading of it because I wasn't quite in the mood for that sort of darkness. Once I decided I was ready to jump back in, I finished the second half of the book in a single sitting. It's a very compelling read, and I particularly lik... moree the way that Toby's relationships with other long-running characters have changed by the end of the book. Toby seems to be very slowly gaining an understanding of her role in faerie, and I can't wait to see where this takes her next. less
