review 1: This is a re-read for me and I think I feel the same way about it this time as last time. I liked it, but didn't love it. Along with learning this world, we are also learning a lot about Toby's past which at times feels like so much information that it slows down the story. I can see why it was necessary though. I've heard so many good things about this series that I'm looking forward to reading the next book.
review 2: I had this book sent to me by a friend who hoped I'd like it since it's my genre of choice when it comes to reading. And I totally loved it.I love urban fantasy, in pretty much all its forms. I have had some issues with a few books that try to take on the world of Faerie, but this one did it awesomely. Best way to describe this book is to call i
... moret a detective novel where the mystery is all wrapped up in fae lore. October Daye is a great character to follow, her inner monolog and Die Hard-stunts made the book impossible to put down! I can't really give anything away without risk of spoiling really, it's a mystery that will have you guessing towards the very end. A mystery filled with magic and blood!I warmly recommend this book! less
