review 1: I like this author, and this is one of the Lacey Flint series. She lives in a houseboat on the Thames, and swims in the river. She finds a wrapped corpse of an unidentified woman one day when swimming, and stumbles upon an organized crime that extends beyond the murder. In addition there is the side plot with her significant other, who is undercover as a renegade cop--this is a small part of the story, but more to come on that no doubt. Enjoyable read.
review 2: I was asked why did I like Sharon Bolton. My answer was, She is the best female writer of thrillers. So, I started the 4th Lacey Flint book. By chapter three I said to my dog Toby. Sharon, best not make me out to be a liar. By chapter 98 I was pleased to say I didn't have to eat my words...A dark an... mored twisted tale for sure..Lacey has gone back into uniform with the "river police".
