review 1: When a 14 year girl comes into Spenser's office wanting to find her mother's murderer, Spenser settles on a retainer of a dozen doughnuts and goes to work. As usual, Spenser and Hawk get into some pretty interesting situations. Ace Atkins does have the characters in Robert B. Parker's books pretty well down, although I didn't find some of the wise cracks quite as funny, but maybe that was just me.
review 2: Even though the character's creator is gone (Mr. Parker died January, 2010) Spenser lives on under a new writer, Ace Atkins. He does a wonderful job with Spenser, so let's hope there's more to come!
