review 1: An epic adventure. Alexander Gordon Smith is the Stephen King for young adults, in my opinion. The book started with a bang, and it was non-stop action the whole way through. I appreciated the unique twists Smith created because, although my first impression was that this was a zombie book, it turned out to be something else entirely. It had zombie-esque moments, but ethereal qualities too! Just a sidenote - like Stephen King's books often are, Alexander Gordon Smith's The Fury is loooong...so, be prepared to settle in for a lengthy, wild ride!

I recommend this book to more mature audiences because there is lots of gory and death. Over all this is a great book. less
