review 1: I always like to read a novel from a country I am visiting. So when in Iceland recently I read one of Arnaldur Indriðason's books. He is one of Iceland's best writing exports. Unfortunately, the author uselessly slows down the pace with subplots such as the one involving Erlendur's late brother. less

Most of Indridason's books are slow but good. However, this one was a bit too slow.
