review 1: Dit is het derde en laatste deel van de trilogie. Het verhaal begint waar de vorige is geëindigd. Het is dus wel een goede zaak om alle drie de delen te lezen. Dit is vooral in het begin een wat bloederiger verhaal dan zijn voorgangers. Later verloopt het wat rustiger. De plot zit goed in elkaar, de schrijfstijl is prettig en leest vlot weg. Jammer dat dit het slotstuk is, had er graag nog wat gelezen, maar helaas aan alles komt een eind.
review 2: The recent trend of having sad morbid endings in dystopian thrillers takes a back seat in this absolutely thrilling balls to the walls slug fest. The action is non stop, the characterization intriguing and the character dynamics fascinating. Despite the sheer body count, the book never gets depressing unlike certain... more other books (*cough* Hunger Games *cough*). The ending is kind of sad but hopeful. It's taken me exactly a week to finish the trilogy and Blake Crouch has proven to be a good find less
