review 1: Deon Meyer's novels amaze me. They not only contain gripping mysteries with a huge cast of characters, but they also teach so much about South Africa, its race relations, and government sectors. Thisbook was a knockout mystery. So many twists and turns and wrong alleys and red herrings. I was clueless as to who the murderer was until about a page before the criminal was outed. My mark of a good book.
