review 1: Tracy Lawless, the extremely tarnished knight, is back! This is a personal favorite of mine since it was the first Criminal series I picked up. Of course, I was soon hooked and started collecting the rest of the back issues. The story shows that men with honor, not matter how much or how flawed, have no place in this world created by Brubaker & Phillips. Though quite flawed you will get behind Lawless as he attempts to solve the mystery of "made-men" getting killed, as an assignment to his criminal kingpin boss, Mr. Hyde. Laweless doesn't belong here, he belongs a world away fighting a war in the desert. But that doesn't mean the bad guys won't get what's coming.
review 2: While not the strongest story arc of Criminal, there is still something special about thi
... mores series. Each story is satisfyingly grim. Tracy Lawless returns in another noir, crime story where broken characters struggle in vain to change their fate. I absolutely love the setting and feel of Criminal and this volume is no different. I've read a fair amount of Brubaker's work and while he is an accomplished comic writer, this series seems like something he was made to write. less

Not quite 4 stars, but couldn't give it a three. 3.75 might be a better grade.

Slick, sly and styled. Really enjoyable follow up to the Lawless story.
