review 1: This is where I probably call it quits. I did not hate this series, but at this point I'm getting a little bored without getting any sort of clarity on who Jo really is. What is her story? Who are these men chasing her and what kind of monsters are they? All we get are stories of her many conquests and how these men fall under the power of her gaze. I still fail to see what is so compelling about her besides her looks, but maybe it's just supposed to be a curse she's burdened with. Four books in and I still don't have a clue... It has lost my interest.
review 2: I must admit I didn't love this as much as the earlier volumes. Having lived in Seattle during the 90s the grunge band setting was something that I didn't much care for. (Though I did love the pan... moreel with Dicks) It was interesting to see Jo without her memory and how everything tied together. It was still really enjoyable though. And Sean's art is still gorgeous even when what he's painting is quite horrific. less
