review 1: Even though I really enjoyed Human Remains and Into the Darkest Corner, I was hesitant to read this book because of all the negative reviews. Lacking anything else to read, I decided to finally give it a try. Even though it was my least favourite of Haynes' books, I still quite enjoyed it. I really enjoyed the setting of it on a barge/marina and I found the flashbacks to her dancing days to be interesting. On the negative side, I did find it to be slightly far fetched at times and there were several unanswered questions in the end. All in all, this is worth reading if you are a fan on Haynes. Maybe this isn't her best book, but it is still an enjoyable read.
review 2: I just couldn't get in to this story... The main character, who is apparently the most d
... moreesirable woman on earth - since every man she encountered wanted not only to jump her bones, but also to have her forever and ever amen - was not someone with whom I could relate in any capacity. I hate to compare authors' books, but after Into the Darkest Corner and Human Remains, I was disappointed with this work from Haynes, who I was previously convinced could do no wrong. less
