review 1: I found this to be a pretty silly book. Liked the concept, but the book itself was kinda short and unrealistic. And Brooklyn? Jeez. That girl needs to realize what is in front of her and totally ignore the "Roman numeraled" Hunter kid (gag, that guy was a super a-hole from the beginning).I wish we could have seen more of the polls as those were actually interesting.Well, I also have Jessica Brody's Karma Club with me. To read or not to read? Maybe I'll make a poll for it.Total rating: 3 stars. Meh.
review 2: Book ReviewTitle: My Life UndecidedAuthor: Jessica BrodyPublishing Information: Farrar Straus Giroux, November 2012Genre: Teen FictionTheme: Romance, Choices, School, Life My Life Undecided is a thrilling, hilarious, and addictive story about a girl that fig
... moreures out why she is heading in the wrong direction and eventually finds a way to turn her life around. The main character, Brooklyn Pierce, has a very long list of bad choices that she has made throughout her entire life, but not so many good ones. After the disaster she made, involving a burnt-down model home that her mom had built, she finally decided one day to stop trying. To give up. To quit all her efforts of trying to make any choice, whether it be positive or negative. That was the day that Brooklyn’s personal blog, My Life Undecided, was created. It was the perfect way to get out of her “decisionally-challenged“ life crisis. Everyone on the blog just made the decisions for her, simply by just the click of a button. It was that easy. She could just sit back and enjoy the ride throughout the journey of life. Well at least that’s what she thought she could do… I would definitely recommend this book to other teen readers with a sense of what the real world is like in this time of social media. It is certainly a one-of-a-kind book and I am not sure that I have ever read a one quite like this before. It is a very addicting book to read. I could never put it down and I took it with me wherever I went. Although I truly did like this intriguing book, I must admit it— there were some parts where I was so frustrated by the main character’s actions because the right decision was so undoubtedly obvious, but I guess I should have seen it coming from what is written on the back of the book. After all, it does say, “You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll scream in frustration. Or maybe that’s just me. After all, it’s my life.” Nevertheless, I enjoyed this book very much and I plan on reading more books by Jessica Brody soon. less
