Joe Ledger
review 1: This might have done better as a graphic novel or comic book. As a novel it was a massive fail for me. There was nothing likeable about Joe Ledger, the bad guys were about as stereotyped as you can get, and the plot would've made a great Saturday morning cartoon. There is so much I didn't like about this book I don't even know where to begin. The ridiculous scene where Ledger 'proves' himself to the men he's supposted to lead. I think the author is a man who probably spends a large portion of his life playing video games and probably thinks this is how 'tough guys' act. Same with his portrayal of the villains of the piece, Islamic terrorists of course. Cardboard cut-out characters. Finishing this badly written piece of crap was a challenge. By the end of the book, I felt l... moreike a zombie had eaten my brain.
review 2: Patient Zero was such a well executed book. After reading it I can describe it as a military/science thriller where the threat is plague infected zombies. Now this is not to say that the zombie element was not important (and scary!) but it was delivered in such a way that the story was more then just episodes of zombie violence. This is a great read for fans of zombie fiction but also will appeal to those who enjoy military or police type thrillers. less

This was a pretty good book, but I don't like zombies. Do all his Joe Ledger books have zombies?
