review 1: Tryck Santigo is a wolf shifter and loves riding his motorcycle. Carter is a wood elf and Tryck’s mate. Tryck and Carter are complete opposites; can they find a common ground and learn to love each other before it is too late?Carter’s Tryck by Lynn Hagen is the seventeenth book in the Brac Pack series. In this book we are dealing with some wolfs who have come into Maverick’s pack, the Santigo brothers. They’re fun; they’re alphas and are just a bit of a loner. Seeing Tryck get his story was really nice. This series does build on itself so you really should read it in order, as the author recommends. I found this story fun had a few twists I didn’t see coming. I love alpha werewolves and Tryck is one, in spades. I also liked the introduction into the elves... more of this series, with Carter, who is gentler, but still very male and strong in his own way. I like how he balanced Tryck. He softens the alpha in Tryck, which is good to see. Carter and Tryck have a connection which translates across the pages and made me feel connected to them. I also felt connected to the Santigo brothers. They are rough around the edges but totally loveable. I personally love Lynn Hagen’s Brac Pack series and really want to see more of it. She blends the men so well that when you meet them again it is like catching up with an old friend, which I like a lot. You do get to re-meet characters we’ve already met and fallen in love with in previous books and seeing where they are now is fun and an adventure in itself.
review 2: Good story. I totally love Carter. It's nice to know what happened to the other books' characters. But there's one thing that got a little on my nerve when I read. I know I nitpick a little too much but it was just too big of a mistake. I can easily forgive grammatical or vocabulary mistakes. A mistake here and there no problem but writing three times the same thing in less than ten lines is way out of there. the author wrote THREE times (in a little different way each time) that Carter enter his dwelling (that in all of nine lines). Not one not two but THREE. thank god that was the one and most obvious mistake of this book. less
