review 1: This is a delightful cozy mystery series that has stood the test of time and only gotten better; reading them is one of my guilty pleasures, I have to admit. Agatha Raisin is a real rip--a smart, fiftyish woman always on the lookout for husband number three. In this twenty-fifth book in the series, Agatha's detective agency is hired to solve the gruesome murder of the local baker/amateur actor. She plunges in as usual upsetting everyone she interviews and putting herself in some real danger when she finally stumbles upon the truth. Fun, quick read!

... mores read by Alison Larkin. Her voice is nasal, irritating and all of the many comfortable characters sound exactly alike! I had to stop after 30 minutes because her voice made my teeth hurt! I don't mind so very much if a long time narrator is changed - as long as the new one is at least comparable, if not better. This is a travesty! less
