review 1: Here we go...We spent a lot of time traveling roads and getting some back stories on some new characters. We also got to see personalities of old characters developing, as well. It's nice that Kirkman doesn't forget to continue developing his loyal characters. Easy too many times you read ongoing stories that figured they developed the character enough in the first stories and give them nothing but conflict and dialogue for the rest of the series. This volume was pretty low key, really. Minus a couple of shocking revelations that will continue to develop the story as we go on. I'm excited to see what happens when they get to their destination.
review 2: The volume continues to deepen characters and make their motivations believable. Reflecting, characters face
... moretheir personal demons, understand and come to accept what they have become. The events don't seem contrived, but help build the different character arches. It is the second volume in which the somewhat simple herd mentality of the walkers is being explained to us, and as the group encounters a large herd for the first time, I can't help but feel that it draws attention to what might often seem like complex patterns, but are in fact equally simple workings of our small group of humans. less

Another good entry. Not as good as some of the previous ones though.
