review 1: Oh. My. Goodness... What an amazing story! I can't say it enough. I was captivated from the very first book in this series. Hands down, this was the most powerful story I've ever read in my life. I am so thankful that I stumbled upon these books and I am afraid that they have ruined me for future books to come. Someone else mentioned that they sometimes felt like Dan and Vadim are real and that they think about where their lives are now. I can relate to that statement because the story and its characters were written so well that you know them so intimately. Dan and Vadim and even some of the other people in their lives will always be with me. I also loved that I didn't always get what I wanted in this story, which in my opinion made everything very realistic. Most other ... morebooks that I've read always have a few or several "corny" or "yeah right" moments which is a huge turn off for me, but not these...As the other reviewers of this story also mentioned, these books evoke several emotions in an EXTREME and INTENSE way that I never thought possible to that degree. I have experienced every emotion there is while reading these books: pain, love, hatred, dread, sadness, worry, joy, annoyed, helpless, humiliation, happiness, horror - the list goes on... That being said, this story is certainly not for everyone as they are incredibly intense - but for those of you who enjoy some serious angst, you will not be disappointed.Thank you to Aleksandr Voinov and Marquesate for giving us Dan and Vadim's incredible story. You both are geniuses and I look forward to exploring your other books.
review 2: Whew, I survived! Barely. I don't know how it's possible given how this series started, but I don't believe a day will go by where I don't think about these amazing characters and their incredible journey together. I fear there may be something wrong with me that I have come to love Dan & Vadim as much as I do. "Vadim did what?!" Yet, I still love him. "Dan did what?!" Yet, I still love him. That's what this series does, makes you question your sanity, cause you will LOVE them. Alright, back to the book in question - What a wonderful hea to tie this story up. I honestly couldn't have been more thrilled with the ending. A fitting end to an epic series. less
